Approaching Holidays

With the holidays fast approaching us, it makes me wonder what all I am in store for. This will be such a bittersweet time for the family with out our folks being around to celebrate them all with us. Last year was the first year without them and it was a rough time all the way around. I can only hope that this year people will be able to lighten up a bit, all things considered.

My older brother used to play this record all the time. I could hear it through the walls each night and enjoyed it as well. He (my brother) wanted so badly to become a Green Beret. We all had dreams back then………

All Work and No Play

My older sister is making plans to take the whole family to Florida during the Christmas holidays, when her kids are home for two weeks from school. She received a handsome check from the I.R.S. this year due to the tax credits and the stimulus package from President Obama and wants to take everyone away from all the hustle and bustle that live dishes out to each and every one of us. I’m up for that!

She has been researching Disney Tickets on the Internet, getting a head start on it all and taking her time in an effort to find the best deals. The Internet has brought making such a task a much easier one to tackle, but it still takes take to gather the information and digest it all. She is utilizing Orlandofuntickets.com right now and is sending out massive emails to the whole family, asking questions, picking every one’s brains on what they would like to do and what they would like to see while down there. Her kids have never been to a Walt Disney Theme Park and are anxious to meet Mickey Mouse and all their favorite Disney characters and want to spend a few days visiting there. While the older family members would like to visit the Animal Kingdom and the Epcot Center while we are down there.

I’m good with anything at any time. I’m getting so burnt out taking care of the farm and the old homestead that I not going to picky about anything. I’ll just be grateful to get out of here and all the responsibilities that have been dished out for me this past year. I never thought that I’d find myself in this type of situation, but I’m giving it my best shot and trying to make the best of it. But all work and no play makes for a very tired old man!

Bad Timing

Been busy on the farm, haven’t had extra time for much of anything lately. When all is done each day, I’m so bushed that I check my email real quick and head for bed in order to get up early and start all over again. Last night I read an email that my sister forwarded to me from a cousin that I used to be close to years back that has been in an automobile accident and is in pretty bad shape.

Bad timing for this happen, although there is never a good time for something like this. We are all struggling, due to the economy issues that are just getting worse and worse, so no one is in the position to help him out much. He is however hiring a good Hartford Personal Injury Lawyer that will hopefully get things back on track for him, right now it appears it is just a matter of time as with all legal matters. He is in all of our thoughts and prayers during his time of need.
