Alaska

I do enjoy reading a good book at night while trying to fall asleep. I have read many of James A. Michener’s books and having always learned so much from them all. I just started reading his book, Alaska, it is a fairly large paper back that will keep me entertained for some time with over 1,000 pages full of entertainment and education of the great state of Alaska.

18,000 Men!

Notice the scale…the men look smaller in the torch and larger nearer the camera. At first glance the entire artwork looks proportional. Note the numbers of men in the parts of the Liberty Figure at the end I find it amazing that this photo, taken so many years ago, actually still exists!
